All about Wreck Diving

All about Wreck Diving on Koh Chang Wreck diving in Thailand doesn’t get more exciting than at Koh Chang’s HTMS Chang Shipwreck. Since 2012, this historic site has become the centerpiece of wreck diving in the Gulf of Thailand – and one of the most iconic dive sites in the country. The HTMS Chang is a former U.S. Navy tank landing ship, originally built in 1944 as USS Lincoln County to serve during World War II. After decades of military service and later being decommissioned, the ship was purposefully sunk near Koh Chang to create an artificial reef and world-class dive destination. At over 100 meters in length, it’s the largest wreck accessible to recreational divers in Thailand. Whether you’re an experienced wreck diver or taking your first course in wreck penetration or deep diving, the HTMS Chang offers thrilling opportunities to explore the vessel’s massive structure, corridors, deck guns, and cargo holds – now home to a rich variety of marine life. Our wreck dives are guided by certified PADI, SDI, and TDI instructors, ensuring safety and in-depth knowledge of the site. You can also take specialty wreck courses or technical training if you want to go deeper. From curious batfish and schooling barracuda to hidden moray eels and nudibranchs – this wreck dive has it all. Whether you’re here for adventure, training, or underwater photography, wreck diving on Koh Chang is something every diver should experience. Join us and explore this piece of history resting beneath the waves. ⸻ Wenn du willst, liefere ich dir das auch auf Deutsch oder Thai, oder direkt als HTML-Block mit Struktur und Formatierungen für deine Webseite.
