Hin Rua Tek
Hin Rua Tek หินเรือแตก is located just south of bang Bao and take only 20 minutes to get there. The Dive Site is a long flat rock Banana Rock, that stays above the surface. There is one buoy line attached at 12 meters of Depth. This Buoyline leads you down into a sandy area.
From here you head out over the sand. Till you reach the Coral Reef that has a max depth of around 14 to 15 meters. As you approach the dive site you head out straight onto the West Wall of Hin Rua Tek. This is a beautiful Coral Reef Wall with many hard and soft Corals to admire.
Hin Rua Tek is a very long reef that stretches out very far. It’s best to come up over the reef and continue back along the East Side to find the buoy line. Along the way, it is also nice to come up to shallower depths and spend time diving around 5 to 6 meters. At the top of the reef. As you can see many Nudie branches, Sea Cucumbers and of course many black sea Eurchints so be good with you buoyancy.
Along the Reef, you will find many spaces and cracks to shine your torch into. See what’s hidden in there and if you’re lucky maybe you can See a Reef Shark along the way. Also many Barracudas, Fusiliers and Stingrays. Hin Rua Tek is a Dive Site that we are only really going to in high season as in low season the conditions are not very favourable to dive there.
It is a great dive site with a lot to offer and if you get a dive with 20 to 30-meter visibility it is great.
