- Minimum age: 12 years
- Must be Open Water certified (any agency)
- Junior AOWD (12–15 yrs): max. depth 21m
- Standard AOWD (15+ yrs): max. depth 30m

FAQs – Advanced Open Water Diver Course
❓ Do I have to study theory again?
Yes, a short theory module is part of the course – but there’s no big final exam like in Open Water. You can study everything online in advance.
❓ How deep can I dive after the course?
As an AOWD diver, you’re certified to dive up to 30 meters (Junior AOWD up to 21 meters).
❓ Are the Adventure Dives the same as Specialty Courses?
No – Adventure Dives are introductory dives. You can credit them toward full Specialty Courses like Wreck Diver or Nitrox later.
❓ What equipment do I need?
Everything is included in the course price – all you need is swimwear and a good mood!
❓ What comes after AOWD?
You can continue with the Rescue Diver course or enroll in full Specialties. We’re happy to advise you!
