The watch-sized Suunto D5 is the first Suunto App-compatible dive computer with interchangeable straps designed specifically for recreational divers.
The Suunto App functions as a digital logbook for your dives.
After you pair Suunto D5 with the app, the dive logs are automatically transferred to the mobile device via Bluetooth. In the app you can view dive data including maximum depth and water temperature by exploring your dive profile. Suunto D5 makes it easy to log dives and also turns the watch into a classic post-dive watch model. The high-quality materials such as stainless steel and mineral crystal glass make it look elegant both above and below the water.

Whether you are a beginner or an experienced diver, one of the most important features you look for in your dive computer is the ease of use. With this watch, there is no need to spend a long time studying the controls before you can access the information you want. This is especially important since dive computers are considered to be life-saving tools that every diver can rely on to prevent decompression sickness.
In addition, it has a clear colour screen (MIP display) with LED backlighting that can be adjusted to suit the purpose of viewing.
Dive information is easy to read, and vibration and sound alarms assist in tracking safety-critical information.
4 different dive modes; air, nitrox, freediving and pressure gauge, as well as a digital compass, are features that are important for recreational divers.
Underneath the reinforced housing is a dive computer that can provide a wealth of information. It provides real-time information on tank pressure, maximum depth and high pO2 concentrations. The device warns if the ascent is too fast or if the decompression limit is exceeded.
The user interface of the D5 is very clear, which is especially useful for beginners. In addition, the Display displays all the necessary information, such as depth and timing, and has a switchable screen at the bottom so that you can see the cylinder pressure, decompression limit, compass and timer. With the middle button, you can change the display as you wish.
On the display, there is a battery indicator showing the number of hours of your diving activity remaining. This helps ensure that you do not stay underwater longer than you should. The D5 comes with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. In addition, the watch offers the usual timekeeping functions of a conventional digital wristwatch. There is also a stopwatch and alarm clock.
With just three buttons at your fingertips to navigate through menus and controls, Suunto D5 is very easy to use even underwater.
The Suunto D5 has a wide range of uses and is very similar to the Suunto Eon Core. You can dive with air, Nitrox and use 3 gases from 21% to 99% oxygen. As with the Eon Core, you can adjust the display for each of the following modes.
As part of the new generation, Suunto has introduced a “new” decompression algorithm called Suunto Fused™ RGBM Suunto has also explained that it has found a way to shorten the no-fly time. Suunto emphasizes: “Suunto Fused™ RGBM 2 does not require the body to be completely free of residual gases when calculating no-fly times. The no-fly time between the last dive and the flight is reduced by the change, while the necessary safety is maintained. This could mean that in the future you can dive longer and closer to your flight.
By simply wirelessly pairing the Suunto Tank POD radio transmitter with the first stage regulator, you can read the current tank pressure and remaining air volume. As you can imagine, these can be difficult to calculate without air integration, especially under different diving conditions. Having a dive computer with integrated air consumption calculation such as Suunto D5 can prevent emergencies and potentially save lives.
It is equipped with a temperature sensor so that you can keep an eye on ambient temperatures. In addition to these useful features, Suunto D5 also offers wireless mobile connectivity and a digital compass. An intelligent dive computer that lets you experience your next deep-sea adventure.
