Open Water & Advanced Open Water Diver

Your Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water package starts with:
The Open Water Diver eLearning, which you can already complete at home and upon your arrival we will see what you have learned and complete the necessary paperwork. In the afternoon we will have our swimming pool training followed by 3 days and 9 dives from our boat. Day 1-Pool dives, Day 2-3 dives, Day 3-3 dives and day 4-3 dives.
What you will learn :
All the diving basics at your Open Water Diver Course over 3 days. And on your last 2 days of the course, you will fine-tune your skill level at the Advanced Open Water Course with 5 adventure dives like:
Deep Dive, Navigation Dive, Wreck dive, Nitrox Dive and Buoyancy Control.
After successful completion of your Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water package, you will able to dive independently with a dive buddy by the limitation of your training. Or you will be able to continue your training with more advanced diving levels like:
Rescue, Divemaster or Specialties courses like Nitrox Diver, Wreck Diver or Deep Diver. You can also join the Technical Dive Programs if you reached around 25 logged dives.

What you might spot?
While attending our dive courses you might spot plenty of Koh Changs Marinelife on our dive sites and Wrecks (if certification and/or course requirement are meet) at your training dives with us.
Course specific requirements:
- Meet and greet around 4 – 5 pm (when your Instructor, Guide is back from the day trip)
- Documents Review and completion.
- Prepair your gear.

- Open Water Dive 1 to 3 max. depth 12 m
- max. time per Training Dive 60 min., or low on Gas 50 bar
- Open water dive 4
- Theory Review and completion
- e.g. Peak Performance Buyoncy and Navigation Dive
- Advanced Open Water Dive 1 and 2 max. depth max.18 m
- max. time per Training Dive 60 min., or low on Gas 50 bar
- Theory Review and completion
- e.g. Deep Dive, Wreck Dive and NITROX Dive
- Advanced Open Water Dive 3, 4 and 5 max. depth max.30 m
- max. time per Training Dive 60 min., or low on Gas 50 bar
- Certification if all course requirements are fulfilled
- from 12-15 years of age (junior Advanced Open Water Diver max. 21 m depth) with parental consent.
- from 15-99 years of age (Advanced Open Water Diver max. 30 m deep) to 18 years with parental consent.
- When an Junior Advanced Open Water Diver reaches the age of 15,
they may upgrade to an Advanced Open Water Diver certification by completing the Junior Advanced Open Water Upgrade form and submitting to Headquater.
General requirements
Below are the requirements for all certification diving courses of the respective training agency (PADI, SDI or TDI).
- House rules, release from liability and assumption of risk as well as medical questionnaire
- According to Thai law (status 2020) a medical certificate is not required
- However, if one of the questions is answered with “YES”, a medical atest is necessary before any activity in the water!
- Swimming without swimming aid: minimum requirement 200m!
- Floating motionless on the water (dead man): minimum requirement 10 min.
- Minimum age for participation in scuba diving activities: 10 years (details in the specific course description).
Our services include
- Free shuttle service on dive day: Hotel to boat (White Sand Beach to Bang Bao) and back to the hotel! Pick up from the east coast on request.
- All boat fees (dive boat or dinghy)
- Complete equipment you need for scuba diving or snorkeling
- Regulators from APEKS or SCUBAPRO,
- Buoncy Control Device (BCD) from APEKS, SCUBAPRO or SEAC.
- Tropical water, usually 30 degrees warm, 3mm wetsuit short.
- SCUBAPRO Go fins, mask, Tanks (regularly maintained and tested) and weights.
- Against a surcharge of 300 THB/day for provision of a SUUNTO dive computer

This only applies in connection with a complete set of equipment without tanks and weights, and for non-discounted services! We reserve the right to reclaim the granted discount.
- Lunch, soft drinks, coffee, tea and seasonal fruits are served on the boat.
- English speaking divemasters or instructors (group size max.5 persons)
- Wifi on the boat (router capacity max. 10 persons)

- Credit card payments in the dive shop or on the boat, free of charge if the total amount is more than 1500 THB. For amounts up to 1500 THB we charge a 3% handling fee.
