What is Discover Scuba Diving?
Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) is a one-day non-certification program designed to let you experience the thrill of scuba diving. It includes two boat dives at beginner-friendly dive sites around Koh Chang. If you’re still unsure about committing to a full Open Water Diver Course, this program is perfect for you!
After an introduction to diving theory and basic skills, you’ll dive with a professional instructor. Should you decide to continue your diving education, we recommend Option 3 from our OWD product, allowing you to seamlessly transition into the Open Water Diver Course!
How Does Discover Scuba Diving Work?
In the morning, you’ll be picked up from your hotel on Koh Chang and transferred to our boat. Once onboard, your qualified instructor will greet you and prepare your equipment. During the ride to the dive sites, you’ll receive a detailed briefing:
- Basic diving theory
- Hand signals and underwater communication
- How to use your diving equipment
- Breathing with a regulator
- Clearing a partially flooded mask
- Recovering and clearing a regulator
- Ascent and descent techniques
After your first dive, you’ll have time to relax on the boat, enjoy lunch, and take in the stunning views. Your second dive is a fun dive, allowing you to fully experience the underwater world of Koh Chang.
